24 Pesula is a Finnish chain of self-service laundromats offering customers a quick and convenient way to wash clothes, household textiles, and rugs without needing to book in advance. The laundromats provide a variety of washing machines and drying solutions, enabling laundry to be done in as little as half an hour. The company operates in over 50 locations across Finland and four locations in the United Kingdom. In 2023, 24 Pesula’s revenue was approximately €7 million, and it employs around 20 people.
“From the very beginning, strong technical expertise and in-house product development have been a core part of the company’s DNA. A prime example of this is our internationally unique innovation, the flatbed rug washing machine, which offers an affordable and efficient solution for washing hard-backed rugs while saving over 90% of water compared to other methods. We have deliberately focused on making our operations more sustainable, with a particular emphasis on energy efficiency, water usage, and environmentally friendly processes,” says the company’s co-founder, Asko Nevala.
